Kyoto Tool Co., Ltd. exhibits RFID tools at “MRO Americas 2026”

Kyoto Tool Co., Ltd. (KTC), Japan’s leading hand-tool manufacturer (TSE Code: 5966), will participate in “MRO Americas 2026,” to be held in Orlando, Florida, USA, from April 21 to 23, 2026 (local time).

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, MRO Americas is one of the world’s largest exhibitions dedicated to aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO). This will be KTC’s third consecutive appearance since 2024. In addition to our RFID-enabled tool system “nepros ID,” we will present “nepros,” KTC’s premium brand that marked its 30th anniversary last year, and “TRASAS,” a next-generation work-traceability product line that fuses tools with IoT technology.

Through these efforts, KTC will continue to deliver safety, comfort, productivity and efficiency to the MRO industry.

IoT for FOD Prevention
nepros ID tools are conceived from the drawing board as part of active FOD prevention strategies. They feature IoT tool control technology embedded atthe point of manufacturing.

Craftmanship and Innovation in Tools since 1950
nepros ID integrates advanced RF-technology pioneered by Xerafy, a leading manufacturer of industrial RFID tags, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of tool management. This integration signifies the convergence of KTC’s storied legacy of excellence in tool manufacturing and Xerafy’s innovative RF technologies, bringing ‘Connected Tools’ to the market to redefine industry benchmarks.

nepros ID TOOL Management System: A Field-Ready RFID Solution for MRO
In 2025, we evolved our MRO tool series “nepros ID,” which incorporates RFID tracking functionality from the design stage, into a comprehensive solution that can be operated on-site.
Crucially, our solution was developed for real-world deployment in MRO environments where tool loss and inventory checks remain persistent challenges. At the heart of our system is the ability to tackle these issues through an integrated ecosystem of RFID-enabled tools, smart storage cabinets, RFID hand readers, and management software.
While some tool tracking systems exist globally, most remain underdeveloped for field use. By leveraging our manufacturing expertise and understanding of tool usage workflows, we provide a field-ready, holistic solution.
In the MRO industry, FOD prevention and digital transformation remain key challenges. The nepros ID TOOL Management System simplifies inventory control, tool tracking, and compliance assurance through IoT integration—improving safety, efficiency, and management oversight. Furthermore, by enabling data-driven decision-making and task visualization, our solution contributes to transformative change in site operations.
In September 2025, nepros ID has been awarded the “MRO Technology Achievement of the Year” at the MRO Asia-Pacific Awards 2025, organized by Aviation Week Network. This recognition highlights its innovative approach to IoT-enabled tool management and its impact on the aerospace and MRO industries.
